Landing Pages are pages that a user is directed to when they click on an ad.
Good landing pages are direct and to the point, just like good ad variations.
Google takes landing page loading time and other more opaque quality factors of landing pages into account when they calculate your quality score.

In an ideally optimized adwords campaign, landing pages all lead into "thank you" or "order confirmed" pages that have conversions tracking codes embedded.
